Show us what you built

Project Review Webinar

A 45-minute livestream where we review three community projects, live. You show us what you built, we ask questions, and we talk through what works and what we'd do differently.

Fri May 15 & Fri May 29 · 45 min each · with the Bruin team

The Idea

Bring a project, walk us through it.

We've been wanting to spend more time with the projects people are building in the community. Pipelines, dashboards, models, ingestion jobs - whatever you've worked on. You show us how it works, we ask the questions we'd ask in a code review, and we get into how others would approach the same thing.

The Format

45 minutes, three projects.

We host, three of you present, and the chat asks questions throughout.

  1. 015 min

    Quick intro

Hello, who we are, and how the next 40 minutes will go.

  2. 0210 min

    First project

You walk us through your project. We ask questions as we go.

  3. 0310 min

    Second project

Same idea, different project. Different stack, different problem.

  4. 0410 min

    Third project

Last one - usually the conversation has warmed up by here.

  5. 0510 min

    Q&A + wrap

Open questions from the chat about anything data, then we say goodbye.

Why apply

A real conversation about your project.

Not a pitch, not a sales call. Just a working session on what you've built.

01

Honest feedback

We tell you what we think - what we like, what we'd do differently, what we'd look at next.

  • It's a conversation, not a review panel
  • We bring questions about the trade-offs you actually made
  • If we'd build it the same way, we'll say so

02

Hear how others do it

Three projects in one session means you also see how two other people approached their work.

  • Different stacks, different team sizes, different problems
  • A peek at how others handle the boring stuff (testing, ingestion, alerting)
  • Useful questions you can take back to your own work

03

Something to point to

You walk away with a recording of yourself talking through your project, which turns out to be pretty handy.

  • A clip to share on LinkedIn or with anyone hiring
  • Easier than writing a long blog post explaining the same thing
  • And it's better than a README - you actually get to talk about why

The Dates

Two dates. Pick what works.

Same thing both times. Either one, or both - whatever fits your schedule.
