Bruin community workshops

Bruin Build Lab

A small, hands-on workshop where data practitioners build real pipelines with Bruin, from ingestion and transforms to checks, lineage, and analysis.

First session

Online workshop, date TBA

Format

Online

Length

1-3 hours

Size

Small cohort

We keep each cohort intentionally small so Bruin engineers can answer questions, help troubleshoot, and adapt the workshop to the people who join.

What happens inside

Build something practical, with help in the room

Each lab centers on one concrete workflow. Some sessions start with Bruin 101, others go deeper into advanced features or partner stacks.

Step 01

Start with a source

Connect a database, app, file, or sample source and move data with Bruin and ingestr.

Step 02

Shape the pipeline

Add SQL or Python transforms, dependencies, environments, and repeatable project structure.

Step 03

Add trust

Layer in checks, lineage, metadata, and governance practices that make the work production-ready.

Step 04

Ask and iterate

Use the output for analysis, dashboards, or AI analyst workflows, then refine with the Bruin team.

Who it is for

Small groups for data people who want to leave with progress

New builders

Data practitioners trying Bruin

Analysts, analytics engineers, and data engineers who want a guided path from blank project to working pipeline.

Current users

Teams expanding their usage

Bruin users who want help adopting checks, lineage, advanced ingestion, AI analyst workflows, or better project structure.

Mixed cohorts

Client and community groups

Small sessions where existing customers and non-client builders can learn from each other while still getting direct support.

Workshop themes

A recurring lab that can grow with the community

The first session will be online. Future sessions can be online, in person, or hybrid, including co-hosted labs with data infrastructure partners.

Foundation

Bruin 101 pipeline lab

Build an end-to-end flow from extraction to transformation to analysis.

Advanced

Feature deep dives

Explore checks, lineage, materialization, orchestration, and project governance in more depth.

Bring your work

Implementation clinic

Bring a real project, migration, or blocker and work through it with Bruin engineers.

Partners

Co-hosted build sessions

Future labs can pair Bruin with tools like ClickHouse, MotherDuck, PlanetScale, and other data platforms.

We will use your signup to shape the first cohort, pick the right depth, and follow up with the online session details.

First session: online, date TBA.
Best fit: developers, data engineers, analytics engineers, analysts, and hands-on data leaders.
We will keep the group small enough for live troubleshooting and questions.
